Amazon CEO Andy Jassy is betting that generative AI will change how the corporate thinks about its workforce sooner or later.
Jassy stated that as the corporate continues to roll out extra AI brokers, and thus change how the corporate’s work is completed, he expects Amazon will cut back the variety of company jobs wanted sooner or later, in response to a memo that was first coated by CNBC.
“We are going to want fewer folks doing a few of the jobs which are being carried out immediately, and extra folks doing different kinds of jobs,” Jassy wrote within the memo.
He added that the scale of this future discount of workforce is difficult to estimate.
A current survey from the World Financial Discussion board discovered that potential reductions in workforce on account of AI could already be taking place. The survey discovered that 40% of employers plan to chop workers which are doing roles that may be automated by AI.
