Cofidis have 11 bikes stolen from truck earlier than Tour de France stage two

Group Cofidis had 11 bikes stolen from their truck in a single day earlier than the beginning of the second stage of the Tour de France, the staff stated on Sunday.

The staff, primarily based close to Lille, have been capable of finding sufficient bikes to begin stage two, a 209.1-km hilly experience from Lauwin-Planque to Boulogne-sur-Mer, however they condemned the housebreaking.

“The door of the workshop truck was pressured open, and 11 of our LOOK Cycle bikes have been stolen regardless of the safety measures that had been put in place,” the staff stated in a press release.

“The Cofidis staff strongly condemns this act of incivility and calls on the perpetrators to behave with civility and duty.”
