Man charged in reference to HK$3 million Hong Kong Hermes bag theft

A person has been charged in Hong Kong for allegedly robbing almost HK$3 million (US$382,170) value of pre-owned valuables together with Hermes purses from a store earlier than fleeing to Thailand and being despatched again to town.

Police stated that the suspect, 30, would seem at West Kowloon Court docket on Saturday morning. He’s alleged to have stolen 14 pre-owned Hermes luggage, a Van Cleef & Arpels necklace and two cell phones from a store at Supreme Home on Hart Avenue in Tsim Sha Tsui on Wednesday.

Police stated the suspect purchased a white Hermes purse for HK$33,000 on Wednesday after which allegedly rendered a 49-year-old feminine worker unconscious earlier than tying her up and making off with the products.

The suspect, from mainland China, fled to Thailand the identical day, flying from Hong Kong airport to Bangkok. He was apprehended by Thai police when his flight landed and was despatched again to Hong Kong on Thursday night time.

Police arrested the suspect at Hong Kong airport. He has been charged with theft.
